Tri-Kids @ SFX

We had a fun time learning about being a Tri-Kid at school.  We learnt how to put on our helmets, to move through the three fun aspects of a triathlon.  We went slipping on the slipery slide, riding bikes around the orange cones and finishing with a run around the blue flags.  Phew! so much fun and although we were pretty tired at the end we all finished with a smile and were rewarded with a certificate and a Nutrigrain bar.  What a great time!

Learning is fun in Room 7

There are so many different ways to learn about number and letters in Room 7

Alphabet and Number work in our classroom

We have been busy learning about letters and numbers.

Our alphabet work is inspired by "Casey the Caterpillar" and the letter shapes she discovers as she explores her garden.  This week we have been learning about the letters "Cc" (Casey's open mouth) and "Ss" for Sammy Snake. 

Numbers are fun too and we are very clever with our numbers to 10.  We have been making groups with teddy bears and "apple" and "lemon" counters.

Rimu Whanu Water Mania

We had a fantastic time celebrating being part of the Rimu Whanau on Monday by getting wet and having fun with Rooms 12, 13 and 14.  What a great way to cool off on a hot summer's day!

Our first week... building relationships
